I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
